Job Description

We are proud to be supporting this very well established Firm in the Maidenhead/Slough area.

The Company advises a diverse client base from small family companies to overseas holding companies on their company accounting.

The Accounts and Audit Manager's role is a senior who has worked in a similar Company supporting a wide range of companies from 1 man bands to larger Organisations. 

You will be outgoing, resilient and a true self starter and ready to inspire the more junior and general accounting staff.  you will be confident and convincing and able to give your client peace of mind in knowing that they are in safe hands.  you will  

 

The individual:

The successful applicant will be an outgoing and resilient self-starter, with excellent communica on, interpersonal and organisa onal skills. Candidates should be self-mo vated, display a posi ve approach to work and have the ability to get things done. In addition, you should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements and to ensure that service delivery is of the highest standard. The role will require an extremely high level of ability and commitment. The individual will have the opportunity to be able to develop their marketing skills and the ability to generate new business.

The Company's audit portfolio has been rapidly growing and, because of this, they are looking to increase their expanding headcount

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the managment and development of the accounts and audit department of the practice.

Day to day duties will include:

1 Assist in the job panning and workflow the accounts preparation and company tax returns

Reviewing accounts files for partner sign off and ensuring all key outstanding jobs have been addressed at partner level and communicated with the client.

Planning and reviewing audits.  Attending clients premises for each audit assignment at panning, review and final stage. Key audit findings reported to Partner.

Manage business with clients directly to ensure the audit field work dates are agreed with the client well in advance of the planned site visit. 

Review filing deadlines and ensurin work iis completed well before filing deadlines.

Chase clients, where necessary, to ensure jobs are progressed in a timely and efficient manner

Draft fee notes for clients and monitor the recovery of fees on all work undertaken and where necessary recommend additional fees to be raised.

Motivate and mentor more junior personnel and keep staff informed when cover is required to ensure seamless service to given accounts and audit clients.

Promote the company by attending a moring weekly networking meeting and lunch me monthly meetings.  Meet prospective clients and nurture relationships.

Self Development - attend CPD training courses and develop relevent knowledge and skills and maintain CPD Records. 

Be an Ambassador of the Company in maintaining and upholding the ethical standards of ICAEW and the law and regulations to money laundering and terrorist financing.

This role is currently 40 to 50% audit5 and personal revenue accountability is greater than £500K
